'Funding sport in
the City and District
of St Albans'
WHO ARE WE?
The 948 Sports Foundation was established by the OA Sports Club, who gifted £500,000 to promote participation in sport by young people in the City and District of St Albans.
Since 2001 the Trustees have awarded grants totalling in excess of £350,000 and are probably the biggest local sporting charity.
Awards have been made to individuals, schools, sports clubs and community bodies.
